Third-Person Adventure Game — Unity, C#, and FMOD (2025)
Fhase is a third-person adventure game I developed entirely from scratch in Unity, using C# scripting and FMOD for implementing sound. The game takes place in the year 2270, on a fragmented and almost two-dimensional version of Earth, long after both humans and their AI overlords have vanished.
The player controls Fhase, a silhouette-like humanoid being who awakens in a dark, decaying digital world with one purpose — to find a way back to life. Through exploration and interaction, the player experiences surreal flashbacks that reveal fragments of Earth’s past, blending memory, dream, and reality.
The game’s atmosphere draws inspiration from Myst, Dear Esther, and the surrealism of Salvador Dalí and Haruki Murakami. The soundtrack and sound design are influenced by dark ambient and world-inspired ambient, such as artists from the Cryo Chamber label and the works of Steve Roach. The sonic contrast between the digital wasteland and the warm, dreamlike flashbacks forms the emotional core of the experience.
Everything in Fhase — the sound design, music, visuals, and programming — was created by me.
